Sovereign, a national supplier of top quality chicken products, is seeking a thorough and committed individual to take up the role of Maintenance Assistant for its Hatchery operations in the Agriculture division. This position reports to the Hatchery 1 and 2 Maintenance Manager.

The successful incumbent of this position should have a Grade 12 certificate with 2 years’ experience in incubation machinery experience.

Results Required
Ensure all ongoing maintenance is done according to standard Hatchery operating procedure
Ensure that all preventative maintenance is followed and equipment and machinery is serviced.
Record and submit all maintenance issues and report problems that cannot be handled by you.
Ensure that all spares and stock of spares are kept and recorded.
Ensure that daily incubation machine checks are done.
Ensure that all possible maintenance and safety issues are reported
Ensure housekeeping, quality and hygiene standards are upheld in your areas as per standard operating procedures.
Manage water waste disposal within given parameters.
