Maintenance Controller: Control and Automation – Elgin
Salary: R500 000 CTC
We are looking for talented individuals with relevant skills and experience for a Maintenance Controller: Control and Automation which is based in Elgin. Ensures sustained integrity and stability of the automation and control infrastructure and proactively enhances and optimises these systems and thereby improving quality and efficiency of the process. To ensure responsibility for controlling, planning and co-ordinating projects and to facilitate skills development of other technical resources.
Duties:
• Facilitation, implementation and project management of automation and control systems projects to satisfy the requirements of production within budget and timelines
• Identify and motivate technical CAPIN
• Develop and maintain all system component documentation as well as its integrity
• Ensures system architecture alignment with divisional systems standards
• Improvement of software maintenance and fault-finding knowledge
• Assist with front-line support of production systems
Skills:
• Must have a good knowledge of Wonderware Archestra
• Knowledge of ISA S88 principles
• Specialized knowledge of Instrument and Control calibrations, configurations, maintenance, fault finding, installation standards, documentation standards and instrumentation protocols.
• In depth knowledge of Siemens PLC hardware
• Working knowledge and use of WIN CC
• Knowledge of B&R technology
• Working knowledge of profibus and ASI technology
• Siemens programming ability
• In-depth knowledge of PLC network topology including Profibus, ASI, etc.
Additional Requirements
• 4-year tertiary engineering qualification
• Minimum N6 electrical with instrumentation
• Minimum 3 years’ experience within a systems project management role
• Understanding of Production Execution Systems and IS methodologies
• Financial planning and control
