Sovereign Foods, a national supplier of top quality poultry products to markets via various brands is seeking to employ a suitably qualified and experienced Fitter in their Commercial Division, the successful incumbent will be based at their Pretoria West Operation and they will report directly to the Maintenance Foreman. A minimum of 2- 3 years’ experience preferably in a FMCG processing environment is required. A Trade Test certificate in Fitting is essential. Maintenance of poultry processing equipment experience will be an added advantage. The incumbent would be required to work shifts and also provide their own basic hand tools needed to perform the duties. This position holds a task grade of T10.

Results Required:

• Minimize downtime and eliminate wastage by attending to breakdowns thoroughly and fast
• Execute all scheduled maintenance job cards allocated
• Conduct preventative maintenance as per schedule
• Comply with SOPs and general manufacturing practices for the food environment
• Adhere to manufacturer’s service schedules
• Eliminate excessive use of spare parts by planning jobs properly
• Adherence to the Time and Attendance procedure
• Administer job cards accurately
• Complete a shift handover to the next shift
