• Collection, entry and Analysis of data – Collect information and enter into the MMS (Maintenance Management system) – Currently the FiiX MMS software. Analysis of the data in order to suggest ways to improve the service delivery to the Maintenance Mngr/team.
• Collection and entry of data includes: Capturing Syspro orders, creating orders and dispatching to vendors; Capturing job cards in Excel – once CMMS is in place; capture in FiiX system.
• Create long and short term planned maintenance schedules – Create from the data and issue for approval of maintenance manager;
• Plan, schedule and co-ordinate all plannable maintenance work for the facility
• Maintain all records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance related matters ie:
• Track planned maintenance roll out – measure key indicators eg number of planned jobs vs total number of jobs; time to repair – from stopped to recommissioned, tested, proven stable in service
• Analyse equipment data in order to use planned maintenance to maximise equipment availability – key indicators to measure could include lost production time due to planned maintenance per week or month; length of time each piece of equipment eg press ran at full design capability after planned maintenance was done;
• Key personnel liason – Communication of plans with operations managers, interaction with suppliers and serve as key liason between maintenance personnel, operations and suppliers.

KEY COMPETENCIES: Essential competencies (knowledge/skill) required to perform outputs:

Essential is a matric (Grade 12) (preferably with English and maths as subjects); Preferred would be matric coupled with a technical /trade related qualification alternately proven experience/operation at an equivalent level.
• Good communication & inter-personal skills (English) – both verbal (conversational) and written (basic administration and reports/statistics)
• Essential would be your excellent excel skills and sound knowledge of the type of equipment for which planning is being performed (know the equipment well enough to know what needs to be accomplished and estimate the labour-hours that will be required and the physical requirements to assign materials and machinery. This knowledge would be required in both sense-checking data input and in analyzing data.)
• Highly advantageous and preferred would be your experience in working on a similar CMMS system.
• Advantageous would be your experience and /or knowledge in similar activities as per the outputs above.
• Candidates must be willing to undergo further developmental training (where required).
