MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (MECHATRONICS)

Mechatronics qualification (NQF 5)
• Proven 5 years maintenance PLC experience within Automotive environment
• A qualified electrician will be an added advantage
• Must have good communication skills
• Must have extensive hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment including the use of a laptop PC to troubleshoot.
• Must have knowledge on pneumatic equipment.
• Must have knowledge on hydraulic equipment.
• Must have extensive knowledge on the following:
? PLC - Siemens TIA V14 or higher
? Good knowledge of traceability systems
? Good knowledge of engraving applications
? Good knowledge of camera systems
? Good knowledge of leak test applications
? Good knowledge of variable and attribute data applications i.e. checking fixture

MAIN FUNCTION
To effectively work as part of a core team of artisans, to ensure uptime of machinery and minimum downtime by means of developing new software programs for machinery in the plant.
• High focus on all Production Lines
• Perform assigned maintenance inspections and procedures on machinery
• Repair breakdowns to machinery PLC Programs as assigned
• Install/relocate/commission machinery and/or production lines as directed in the shortest time possible
• Evaluate machinery for Continuous Improvements
Maintain PLC software for various applications including but not exclusive to:
• Welding Fixtures
• Leak Test Units
• Checking Fixtures
• Various production applications
• Troubleshooting guides
• Improvement initiatives
