Duties:

• Accountable to grow market share of the South African and Sub Saharan QSR markets by building dominance within the burger categories via a strong vibrant and healthy brand portfolio.
• To ensure the development and implementation of three year strategic brand / marketing plans which align with overall group strategies.
• Accountable for the preparation and management of annual sales and marketing budgets and related cash flows.
• Management and leadership of the brand’s marketing team.
• Accountable for the appointment and management of all advertising agencies and a related bouquet of vendors (approved suppliers).
• Responsible for the brand’s new product development programmes.
• Managing global integrity of the brand across all markets.
• Controlling each brand’s store aesthetics and signage standards.
• Implementing marketing global best practices.
• Maximising the brand’s marketing budget and investment.
• Responsible for the hosting and packaging of the individual brand annual conference and attending quarterly franchise meetings.
• Managing and leveraging the national marketing committee forums.
• Accountable to initiate the relevant brand and consumer research programmes.
• Developing brand specific monthly sales information stats packs and accompanying market segmentation.
• Managing and maximising leverage of the group’s data warehouse facilities.
• To manage and implement pricing strategies for the brand.
• Accountable to develop, launch an implement a Customer Service excellence programme which cuts across all brands.
• To develop, build and maintain a satisfied and confident franchisee network
• Forging strategic relationships and alliances with related product suppliers.
• Contributing to the groups long range macro strategic plans and planning process.

Education:
• Relevant Tertiary degree
• Minimum 10 years’ experience at Marketing Director level with a strong track record of success

Experience:
• Distinct experience in retail and classical marketing
• Previous franchising experience at senior management level
• Previous FMCG experience at senior management level
• Sales and retail experience at senior management level
• Intensive knowledge of the emerging market
• Understanding of store design and aesthetics
