An internationally recognised company is urgently looking for a tourism orientated marketing manager to take over the management role of the marketing office. Reporting to the Strategic Group Marketing Manager.

The department that the successful candidate will manage has 8 team members focussing on brand management & furthermore oversees 4 trade relations team members with a leisure and corporate sales focus.

The department manages three priority brands, and a further 10 ad hoc brands - all with a base in the tourism sector.

A 3-year rapid growth plan has already been put in place, that forms an umbrella marketing strategy over and above the annual marketing and operational plan – This adds massive pressure to the marketing management position.

Salary: R20,000.00 to R30,000.00 per month negotiable

Minimum Requirements

No criminal record
Diploma/ Degree in marketing or a similar field
3+ years in the same or similar role
Trade and travel industry experience and have attended and/or managed a trade show before.
MUST HAVE tourism background and understand the tourism food chain – and previously attended and/or managed trade events
The ability to take assignments and finish them with no micromanagement processes and be able to manage their own time
Excellent people and relationship management skills
Knowledge of design, budgets and overall admin management.
A solid digital marketing / PPC and SEO / YouTube channel management background knowledge (not working the programs/software, but understanding the broad concepts)
conceptual design understanding and entry-level design programme experience (we have inhouse designers, but must be able to slap together a quick corporate presentation without delaying the process due to design backlog)
The ability to manage a budget and take responsibility for decisions at the drop of a hat
The ability to work in a non-pretentious environment and be self-motivated
The ability to multitask between many brands
Have a strategic understanding of brand management
Be presentable and able to travel between the properties with no delay – hosting clients and/or media at any given time
