This is a CONTRACTED seasonal role which requires availability between Nov - Feb only.

The Massage Therapist & Yoga Instructor is responsible for all duties regarding the two roles. He/she will report directly to the Front of House manager to coordinate and plan all activities with regard to the two positions. He/she is expected to conduct themselves in line with the Company’s vision and values regarding client service and satisfaction. Key responsibilities will be to:

• Responsible for the daily tidying and cleaning of the sauna pod;
• Report any reoccurring deficiencies or repair needs to the Front of House Manager at the earliest time possible
• Conduct massages when clients request on a daily basis, limited to a maximum of 4 hours of massage a day;
• Work with the front of house manager to plan a roster for the massages for the clients on a weekly basis, ensuring fair access to all clients requesting the service;
• Conducting basic Yoga classes as requested by clients, limited to a maximum of 45 minutes classes;
• If Yoga and Massage are to be requested on the same day, it is to be discussed between the front of house manager and Yoga/Massage therapist as to the capacity the Yoga/Massage therapist has for the role, and decide accordingly as to how to plan, ensuring fair access to all clients.
• Ensuring all equipment for the two positions are well maintained and reporting any damages, losses to the Front of House manager.

Secondary Responsibilities | Camp Assistant

When not being used as the primary responsibility, the Massage & Yoga therapist will assist in the camp assistant position. The Camp Assistant supports the Front of House Manager to ensure the smooth running and efficient service of their Camp in line with the Company’s vision and values regarding client service and satisfaction. This role reports to the Front of House Manager. Key responsibilities will be to:

• Responsible for the daily tidying and cleaning of all client pods, including turn down service, cleaning and general tidying;
• Report any reoccurring deficiencies or repair needs to the Front of House Manager at the earliest time possible
• Provide support in keeping the entrance pod, lounge and dining areas clean and presentable at all times;
• Ensure accommodation is ready prior to client arrival;
• Ensure hot and cold water thermoses are always refilled;
• Responsible for the daily cleaning of the shower pod;
• Responsible for the daily cleaning of the staff pod;
• Assist with the set up and serving of breakfast, lunch and dinner to guests;
• Assist with service and clearing of staff meals;
• Responsible for clearing and washing up after all meals;
• To assist the Front of House Manager on changeover day with the stock take of linen, towels and clothing items on loan to clients, as the items come in and out of Antarctica;
• Support with the movement of cargo and runway logistics including (but not limited to) the unloading of and storage of food and housekeeping items;
• Assist with organising food for treks, picnic lunches and 4x4 excursions with the chef;
• To assist the FOH Manager as needed
• Work with the wider team to organise additional activities for the guests, both during excursions and in the evening.
