Our client is the market leader in slurry handling equipment. They currently have an opportunity for an innovative and detail-oriented Master Data Planner to join their team.
The successful incumbent will hold an Industrial Engineering or B.Com Honours degree together with 3-5 years’ related experience in a similar function and experience with Baan or other ERP equivalent.

Position details:

Ensures all regional demand has corresponding supply transactions in all regions and warehouses and creates viability where this is not the case.
Support and key participation in the installation and setup of ERP Planning engine in all regions and companies, and then maintenance of the system post going live.
Ensuring order commitment due dates are aligned to the business ATP (Available to promise) logic by performing regular integrity checks on the order book and setting up early warning systems that flag all orders that do not comply. All discrepancy root causes to be addressed to ensure future occurrences are eliminated.
Confirms project requirements by studying user requirements, conferring with others on project team.
Maintains data dictionary.
Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions, evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Determines changes in physical database by studying project requirements, identifying database characteristics, changes database system by coding database descriptions.
Protects database by developing access system, specifying user level of access.
Maintains user reference by writing and rewriting database descriptions.
Defines application problem by conferring with clients, evaluating procedures and processes.
Develops solution by preparing and evaluating alternative workflow solutions.
Controls solution by establishing specifications, coordinating production with programmers.
Validates results by testing programs.
Ensures operation by training client personnel, providing support.
Provides reference by writing documentation.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations.
Development of standard operation procedures to endure continuity of effective system operations.
Development of queries and reports required for regional KPI’s
Daily maintenance of system data integrity for the region.
Ensure Adherence of all HSE and housekeeping requirements.
Adhere to Duty of Care Policy at all times.

Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:
Industrial Eng or B.Com Honours.

Minimum Experience:
3-5 Years related experience in a similar function.
MS Office (advance).
Baan or other ERP equivalent.
SQL query programming.

Must be innovative and detail-oriented.
Self-starter and must be able to work without supervision.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong interpersonal skills to develop good working relationships at various levels and to resolve complaints timeously.
