MATERIAL CONTROLLER (R35-40 000 Basic plus benefits)

Maintain inventory levels to set company targets.
• Maintain a consistent flow of materials to support 4rolling
shifts planned production without interruptions/downtime.
• Maintain safety stock levels of component stock to be held
at supplier and monitor weekly.
• Highlight risks to management and implement measureable
actions with supplier to achieve & maintain such stock levels.
• Imported component stock collections from foreign suppliers
to be monitored and expedited weekly.
• Create & evaluate supplier step charts and verify any
increases/decreases, followed by the appropriate action and
/or feedback to internal & external suppliers.
• Evaluate supplier delivery performance on a monthly basis.
Monitor revision levels & run-outs and ensure that breakpoints
/engineering changes are clearly communicated & controlled to
avoid obsolescence.
• Monitor new products’ status and ensure sufficient demand and
lead-time is provided to.
Your profile
• SCM / Logistics Diploma or Degree
• 5 Years supply chain / material controlling
experience in automotive industry
• Computer literacy: MS Office, SAP
• Have a logical approach to situations
• Understand a sense of urgency
• Strong planning, analytical and organising
skills
• Have good attention to detail & work well
with figures
• Be able to work under pressure, handle stress
