Mechanical Design Body–in-White (BIW) Cell Simulation Engineer
Must be able to start immediately or within 1-2 days
Mechanical Degree 4year Engineering Degree is essential
5+ years’ experience in BIW cell design + simulation.
Experience in Steel metal and Geo-Fixture and Tooling Design
Visual Components experience is required.
Solidworks design experience and in 3D CAD modelling a plus.
Experience gained in simulation setup and analysis.
Good experience gained in fixture and tooling
Develop understanding of robotic cell requirements.
Conceptualize and simulate robotic welding and assembly cells.
Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software (advantageous)
Conceptualize and design mechanical purpose-built machinery, industrial equipment, robotic welding and assembly cells, body in white jigs, conveyance systems and lifting equipment.
Analyse mechanical functionality of systems, including Finite Element Analysis.
Specification of electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems.
Simulation of all moving components
Evaluation of cycle times
Hydraulics and Pneumatics experience gained
Reach checks and interference studies
Specification of system components
Interface with Customers, Vendors, Production Managers, Procurement to find optimal solutions.
Read and interpret, technical drawings and schematics.
Work to company CAD and PDM standards.
Salary Package offered R 30 000- R 35 000 + plus negotiable
