Mechanical Engineer - Rail Industry - Rolling Stock. Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering plus full ECSA Registration.
Must have an established career and experience in the Maintenance programmes relevant to all rolling stock in the Rail Industry.

Responsibilities will include scheduling and planning preventative maintenance on locomotives, carriages, wagons and multiple units,for all mechanical parts and supervision of modifications to parts and equipment and resolving technical problems.

The position will also be responsible for routine checks ensuring that trains are prepared for service on time, are operating efficiently and safely, and meet quality standards and regulations.

The incumbent will also be responsible for managing and specifying which activities should take place when, and manage the processes to ensure that they meet health and safety and industry regulations.

The incumbent will take responsibility for the work of teams who undertake tasks, including routine services, fault finding, repairs and alterations and also be responsible for the system to maintain records of work done, and may also take responsibility for project and budget management.
