Mechanical Engineer
Requirements:
Unless the incumbent can demonstrate that he/she has developed the necessary competencies through experience (as recognized by ECSA), a B Sc Eng or B Eng degree (Mechanical) is required.
At least 5 years applicable Mechanical Engineering experience in plant & infrastructure projects.
Registration as Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) with ECSA.
Code 08 driver’s license.

Duties:
The position holder will be the engineering lead on segment-only projects, as well as engineering manager on multi-disciplinary projects, for the various projects assigned to the individual (on a level of complex activities and problem solving in accordance with the individual s qualification as Pr Eng), being responsible for various outputs compliant with the job purpose.
Work is normally performed in a typical project environment, construction sites and engineering office.
Regular travel would be required of the incumbent.
Need to have a good level of fitness and be willing to work extended hours under extreme pressure regularly.
The incumbent will be required to apply his knowledge and experience in the following areas, amongst others:
* Heating, ventilation & air conditioning (HVAC) systems in commercial & industrial applications
* Sprinkler & fire systems
* Steam & boiler plants
* Compressed air plant
* Industrial lubrication & oil recovery systems
* Lifts
* Industrial plants
* General Mechanical Engineering
