We have an Exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Specialist in the Poultry/FMCG sector, PE

The objective of the role:

All mechanical aspects of capital projects, including cost Management, design and timeous delivery and the preventative maintenance standards and roadmap for mechanical engineering activities within the business.

Requirements:

A degree in Mechanical Engineering
At least 10 years’ mechanical engineering experience in a poultry integrator environment, including the abattoir and processing fields, is required.
Previous project management experience will be advantageous.
The ideal candidate will be required to travel for extended periods of time.


Results Required:

Form part of the consultation, review, implementation and design team for capital projects
Responsible for cost and accounting management on assigned mechanical aspects
Manage mechanical preventative maintenance roadmap
Compile company standards and best practices in mechanical engineering field
Develop mechanical, process control and automation hardware, processing machinery and interfaces to ensure maximum plant efficiency and throughput for production facilities
Support production facilities to resolve issues
Offer production technical guidance
Guide engineers/artisans and ensure knowledge sharing
Evaluate new technologies and apply them in operations
