Medical Device Sales Representative (JB1443)
Kwa-Zulu Natal
Basic salary of R25 – 35 000 per month + monthly commission + benefits and additional performance-based incentives
Duration: Permanent

Our client has been developing, manufacturing and selling medical devices in South Africa for over 20 years. They are currently sourcing a Sales Representative with experience selling Medical Devices in the KZN region.

The ideal candidate would have experience in Laparoscopic devices and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships, in the medical industry.

Minimum Requirements:
Suitably qualified with a tertiary Life Sciences qualification preferred
Previous experience in Medical Device sales, specific experience in Laparoscopic and/or electro-surgical devices is preferred
Professional and effective communication skills
Agile at building and utilizing strong relationships and networks effectively, both internally and with key external stakeholders (e.g. scrub sister; pharmacy manager; stock controller; theatre matron, KOLs)
Computer literate

Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Marketing Manager and National Sales Manager to identify customer requirements, potential support and a sales plan for the territory
Work with the Marketing Manager & National Sales Manager to implement tactical plans to drive increased use of company products
Achieve sales targets (budget) for the territory
Follow up on sales leads and address customer queries
Work with sales colleagues to optimise growth by sharing opportunities for growth and providing support as needed.
Ensure that orders received are placed immediately
Ensure invoicing and delivery is commissioned as per company procedures
Complete and update the company activity calendar and report each week
Work with the National Sales Manager to prepare an annual sales plan which includes analyses for the territory (market share, strengths, weaknesses, sales potential & probability), forecast and expense budgets
At any given point in time understand the source of current business and likely support in the next 12 month period supported by market / business intelligence
Gather and report information regarding competitor activities in the territory
Provide accurate sales forecasts
Attend and actively participate in company meetings as required
Actively work to close gaps & drive sales growth through optimizing sales resources by customer/product opportunity
Identify tender opportunities & new initiatives and work with Marketing Manager & the National Sales Manager to optimise the outcomes
