The company wishes to employ a Sales Representative based in Bloemfontein office. The successful incumbent would be responsible for sales in the Free State. This position reports to the Regional Manager: Free State, Northern Cape, and Lesotho.

Job Purpose:

To provide exceptional service to the medical industry. To ensure that the medical products supplied and maintained meet the most exacting international standards. Professionally serves customers by selling products and meeting customer needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.

Ensure sales targets are met.

Maximize sales on all Tenders awarded to The Company, and maximize compliance.

Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor.

Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers.

Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.

Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans and monthly and annual territory analysis.

Monitors competition by gathering marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques etc.

Recommends changes in products, service and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.

Maintain customer satisfaction at all times.

Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Provides historical records by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.


Skills required:

Medical background would be beneficial

Sales background is essential

Having worked in and having knowledge of the sales territory and relevant hospitals would be an added advantage

Ability to show growth in a developing territory

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
