Senior Merchandise Planner Maitland Cape Town

Our Retail fashion client is looking for Senior Merchandise Planner with 5 years plus experience.

Salary Negotiable

Minimum Requirements:
• 5+ Years’ Experience as a Merchandise Planner
• Must have Retail fashion experience
• Relevant qualification will be an advantage

Main function as a Merchandise Planner Functions:
• Set up Daily and Weekly performance reports.
• Present weekly figures meetings (when not on sale).
• Analyse reports and react to stock and sales, liaise with allocator with regards to allocation of stock and ensure necessary communication to stores and regionals is conducted timeously.
• Manage stock request process and store consolidations.
• Ensure orders are loaded on Dolfin.
• Set up Seasonal budgets per commodity considering historical data.
• Set up Annual store budgets.
• Relook store targets every month.
• Conduct a store grading analysis on a seasonal basis.
• Conduct a size curve analysis on a seasonal basis.
• Conduct a post-seasonal SWOT Analysis per category showing clearances, Stock vs Sales percentages as well as suggested mixes of respective categories and Lifestyles and present this to the designers before concepts and range showings.
• Set up a Markdown list for Winter and Summer Sale and load it on Dolfin.
• Liaise with the marketing department on sale strategy.
• Liaise with Online manager and conduct necessary Online checks during sale period.
• Liaise with the marketing department on focus areas and what styles/stock needs to be pushed on social media platforms.
• Conduct all category buys with buyer and ensure buy is within OTB Plan and assortment plan.
• Set up attribute Pivots on buy and make sure mixes coincide with planned mixes.
• Manage OTB and adjust according to sales.
• React on sales and alter mixes going forward if need be.
• Conduct forecasts on replenishment styles and inputs needed.
• Conduct Forecasts per category in replanning sheet.
• Margin management essential which coincides with stock management.
