Main Purpose of the Job • Electrical and Mechanical maintenance
• Preventative maintenance
• Attending to breakdowns
• Fault-finding
• Training artisans
• Dismantle, move, assemble, install and align equipment and machinery
• Constructed foundation for machines
• Repaired and lubricated machinery and equipment
• Repaired basic electrical circuitry and components and tested units to evaluate electrical and mechanical operation
• Set programmable logical circuits (PLC's)
• Disassembly of machinery, replacement of defective parts + component units such as: motors, gear boxes, clutches, bearings + electrical units
as needed, reassembly and commissioning.
• Perform regular checks on all plant support equipment such as compressors, Generators, Overhead Cranes + power system as required.
• Lay out circuits + install electrical wiring systems to handle required loads for various parts of the plant, run lines, make connections, install
proper safety devices and provide for necessary outlets and switch .
• Assist outside contractors with on-site projects.
• Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Ensure that critical spares list is kept up to date; spare part minimum levels are maintained + assist with the ordering of parts when needed.
• Be prepared to be on stand-by duties for after hour support

Required Minimum Education / Training
• Matric or N3 with technical subjects.
• Trade certification as Millwright or N6/Diploma Electro-Mechanical.
• Must be computer literate.
• Driver's licence

Operations Management

• Be responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment
• Implement and successfully integrate and maintain production processes
• Monitor production and Equipment standards to improve and maintain
• Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed
• Ensure FS standards are effectively executed
• Oversee production inputs Annelize and optimise outputs for maximum yield and quality results
• Oversee the production process, drawing up a production schedule in conjunction with Plant Manager
• monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed
• Improve and minimize waste
• Work with managers to implement the company's policies and goals
• supervise and motivate a team of workers

Required Minimum Work Experience
• 5 years Millwright working experience
• FMCG Experience is a must
• Knowledge of PLC control systems
• Qualified and trade tested as Millwright.
• Wireman’s license an advantage
• SA citizen preferred
• Experience in maintenance of overhead crane, lathes, milling machine, drill press, and guillotines and welding machines will be an added advantage.
