Reporting to Maintenance Coordinator

Main Job Objectives You will provide Maintenance services of specific machinery and
equipment in the processing department of a food processing factory. You will support operational staff in maximizing productions capacity through plant availability. This role is based on shift work and factory floor based in the processing department.

What would you do

• Maintenance of cookers, coolers, pumps, pipelines, water reticulation equipment, heat exchangers, elevators, lowerators, conveyors, etc.
• Maintenance of steam reticulation systems
• Use the Maintenance Management System
• Daily cooker check sheets
• Liaising with QA to reduce can damages
• Ensuring can washers works optimally, and can dryers be efficient
• Liaising with cooling to reduce can write offs
• Job cards to be completed daily with shift hands overs

Qualification and Knowledge
• Core knowledge: Zero downtime or production losses, Continuous reduction in operating costs, 100% compliance to statutory requirements, Operate within budget
• Academic:N2-3 Trade test in either mechanical field and/or Millwright.

Experience:
• 3 yrs. experience in a FMCG environment
• Behavioural: Ability to work under pressure, Good communication & service orientated skills, Planning skills with a high degree of control to complete items quickly and efficiently. Fundamental understanding of food processing equipment, Ability to think strategically, Good Innovative thinking skills
