Signa Opportunity is recruiting unemployed youth for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative.
About the YES Initiative
The initiative was launched by the President in 2018 and is a partnership with government and labour department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months.
Position:
• Millwright

Duties

• Move equipment and machinery as needed throughout your shift either manually or with the proper use of equipment.
• Use a variety of hand tools, measuring tools, and equipment for cutting, welding and brazing to adequately fulfill your daily duties.
• Put your professional judgement to good use to decide which machines, techniques and tools are the best option for moving equipment and completing the job.
• Assist machinery maintenance workers as well as industrial machinery mechanics when needed to help make sure the plant and machines operate efficiently.
• Package and categorize machine parts after taking them apart with accuracy and according to company standards and project requirements.
• Clean up at the shift to make sure your job site remains well organized and free of unnecessary clutter.

• Relevant qualification (PREFERABLY from a registered TVET college)

• Keen to take on responsibility and be accountable
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Fluent in English
• Loyal
• Aged between 18 and 34.
• Must be Unemployed.
• Must not have taken part on the YES Programme before
• Candidates must reside in Kempton Park and surrounding areas.
