Experience Required:

1. Mining Engineer Degree/similar
2. Qualification will be beneficial.
3. Relevant experience without qualifications
4. Mine Manager''''''''s Certificate: Metalliferous
5. Surface Blasting license
6. 10-15 years experience if possible
7. Mine Overseers Certificate: Underground Metalliferous mines

Work Requirements:

1. Manage the Open-cast mining and Mining Contractor
2. Mine planning and scheduling
3. Grade control
4. Ore blending
5. Cost control
6. Manage waste required for tailings dam building

Responsibilities:

1. DMRE compliance
2. Rock Mechanics Reports
3. Surveys and regulatory plans
4. Environmental compliance.
5. Must spend time learning the plant and the effect of the ore on efficiencies
6. Stand in as duty manager for the total mine when required
