Monument Park, Pretoria East: RECEPTIONIST (FOR OPTOMETRISTS)
Minimum Requirements:
-Well presentable, professional and neat Afrikaans speaking female aged 23 – 45 years (face of the company)
-Afrikaans & English first & second languages a must (Key requirement - Afr & Eng patient base)
-Matric / Grade 12
-Minimum 1 year experience in a reception / front office / admin orientated position, dealing with clients/patients (preferably in a medical environment)
-Able to multitask and take initiative in a high pressured working environment
-Confident, positive, intelligent with attention to detail
-Friendly, energetic and enjoys working with people
-Patient and attentive, and able to deal with unhappy / unreasonable patients
-Show helpfulness and give special care to patients / walk the extra mile
-Strong communication skills and telephone etiquette
-Must be willing to grow with company in a long term employment commitment
-Reliable transport to work (preferably own vehicle)
-Non smoker
-Computer literate in MS Office
-Stable employment record a must (no job hoppers, long term employment at previous employers, no unreasonable gaps in employment record etc.)
-Contactable References
-To start as soon as possible
Work Hours:
Mondays to Fridays from 9am – 5pm, and 2 to 3 Saturdays per month from 9am – 12pm.
Duties:
-Full reception duties for optometrist practise and optical dispensers
-Answering telephones
-Diary management of cancelled appointments, missed appointments, confirmation of appointments etc.
-Receive patients and confirm details and information
-Assist walk in patients
-Contact Medical Aids to confirm patients’ medical aid benefits
-Receipt of payments
-Assist patients with collection of glasses and contact lenses, take contact lenses orders, receive courier deliveries etc.
-Assist with monthly stocktake
-General administration and ad hoc duties
Salary: R 7 000.00 gross (Not negotiable)
3 months probation period applies
