National Accountant (JB1454)

Our client is a leading manufacturer with a national footprint in South Africa and are currently sourcing a National Accountant to consolidate financial information of all sites for accurate financial business decisions.

The ideal candidate must have worked on a national level, be self-motivated, possess strong numeric and analytical abilities, with high attention to detail and excellent reporting skills.

Minimum Requirements:
• Relevant Degree
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience working with Syspro or similar
• Previous experience in the manufacturing sector, beneficial

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Financial Management
o Prepare, collate and present monthly figures, business unit forecasts and management report
o Review actuals against budget
o Review General Ledger reconciliations and consolidate
o Complete quarterly statutory packs, tax compilations and bi-annual and annual financial statements
o Contribute and assist with the compilation of quarterly board packs
• Financial Compliance and Operational Auditing
o Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
o Liaise with all parties related to compliance, auditing and/or financial management
o Review the internal audit status update
• Capital Expenditure
o Facilitate the internal process for all capital expenditure, nationally
o Ensure signatories are cone in time of the expected capex
o Update and maintain the asset register
