National Sales Manager - Pest Elimination Industry

We are looking for a National Sales Manager for a well renowned Pest Control Company.

In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible to lead a national team to deliver new sales targets monthly, quarterly, and annually for the Pest Elimination division. You will need to use a range of virtual management techniques as well as regular travel to spend time with your team spread across SA. You will also lead and execute short to long-term projects to drive business growth and implement new sales programs and initiatives. Your responsibilities will cover the recruitment and training of new sales associates, day to day management of a team of Sales Development Managers (SDMs) spread across South Africa. As part of the leadership team of the Pest Division in South Africa, your role will also be strategic, and you should have a very good understanding of the South African business arena and market sectors and be able to communicate at a very high level to present to executives.
You should be ideally located in either Johannesburg or Cape Town.
The role is national and will see regular cross-country travel.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree is desired but not essential
Minimum 4 - 6 years of professional experience in Sales management position
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence/persuade decision makers and motivate team members.
Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
Has had experience in using and managing a CRM system (such as SalesForce)
Effective at dealing with resistance to change
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Self-driven and results oriented.
Excellent skills in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint) and other Office packages and Apps.
Verbal/written communication skills needed to train/ coach others.

Duties:
To manage and lead a team of Sales Development Managers with the expectation to deliver sales targets month in and month out.
To own and control the processes and systems to ensure your team are building pipelines and relationships across most commercial sectors.
To create the strategy from a sales perspective for the business and for your team to follow and implement.
To be conversant with, and observe the policies and procedures as detailed and attached to your letter of appointment and the Sales and Administration handbook.
To comply with the Company Codes of Practice, i.e. the personal rules of conduct, the company rules of conduct, the rules that satisfy the client and the safety codes of conduct.

You will also be responsible for the following:
Health and Safety of the team
Coaching and Mentoring
Collate and present monthly reports for the business
All HR related tasks associated with managing a team of associates
Achieve the ratio targets set by the business
Assist on occasional with the collection of debts when asked to do so.
Deal with all customer complaints as a matter of urgency and in full accordance with Company policy.
Deal with all terminations as a matter of urgency and in accordance with company procedures.
Application to such studies and such courses of training as may be necessary from time to time to enable you to maintain a high degree of expertise in all aspects of your job.

Salary: R50k – R60k per month + R5 600 Car Allowance, Cellphone, Fuel, Medical and Provident Fund
