Network Engineer (MKT316)
Limpopo, Loskop Valley
R20 000 – R35 000 per month depending on experience

Recognized ISP based in Loskop Valley Limpopo is looking for a Network Engineer to attend to the core network, maintenance, support and documentation. If you would like to work in an environment that chases innovation and strives for excellence, then this is the role for you!

Specific duties will include, but is not limited to the following:
Responsible for the ongoing maintenance of systems and networks to support the group and both commercial and residential clients.
Core and edge router/switch configuration for both layer 2 open access and layer 3 customers (Yealink, Cisco, Mikrotik)
Customer router configuration
Commercial ISP support
New network rollouts, planning, budgeting, ordering and configuring
Documenting all configuration, backups of configuration, network diagrams
Ensuring that network infrastructure is kept up to date and as per standard across the organization
Handover documentation
Change control for new hardware / configuration
Telephonic and email support
Monitoring network outages, reacting fast to minimize downtime
Requirements:
Qualification:
Cisco CCNA and or Cisco CCNP
Mikrotik MTCNA/MTCRE/MTCINE
Experience and knowledge:
3-5 years’ experience in a similar role ISP or telecommunications background
Layer 2 protocols such as Vlans IPv4 and IPv6 addressing and sub netting
Routing protocols, e.g OSPF and BGP Routing filters
Tunneling, e.g EOIP / PPTP etc
Brands such as Yealink, Mikrotik, Cisco, Ubiquiti
Microwaves
Peering relationships
New technologies and keeping up to date
Experience in complex VOIP installation and setup
Experience with firewalls

Working Hours Monday to Friday from 08h00 - 17h00. Due to the nature of the position you will be required to work after hours if required.
