Network Engineer

Location: Newtown Park, Port Elizabeth
Salary: R18 000 per month

About the Role:
Opportunity available for a Network Administrator to maintain the current ISP Network

Requirements:
Minimum 5+ years' relevant experience as a Network Engineer
Extensive knowledge on designing, implementing, and maintaining ISP networks
Extensive knowledge of routing (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS) and switching protocols, VPN technologies, MPLS
Extensive knowledge of ISP-related services (DNS, web, mail, etc)
Experience with network monitoring, troubleshooting, analysis
Experience with Linux (Debian/Ubuntu) and virtualisation technologies (KVM/XEN)
Basic scripting (Bash, Python or similar)
VoiP
API's (would be an Advantage)
PHP (would be an Advantage)

Duties:
Maintaining the current ISP network, as well as designing future solutions and automating where possible.
Level 3 support when escalated
Working on mainly mikrotik based core network
Development/implementation of new client solutions
Transferring of skills to junior staff members
