Purpose of the position:
The purpose of the Solutions Consultant role is to onboard new clients by selling and upselling.
This is a new business role.
Sales of Telecommunication/Connectivity/IT/Office Automation solutions.

Responsibilities & duties:
• Promotes/sells/secures orders from prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.
• Demonstrates products and services to potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs.
• Actively does new business and client development telephonically and through canvassing different areas in person to prospective customers.
• Establishes, develops, and maintains business relationships with prospective customers to generate new business for the organization’s products/services.
• Research sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine them potential.
• Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for prospective customers.
• Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
• Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical
service stakeholders.
• Analyses the territory/market’s potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers value to the organization.
• Identifies advantages and compares organization’s products/services.
• Plans and organizes personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment.
• Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
• Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with
marketing and technical service areas.

Qualifications
Essential qualifications and requirements
• Minimum - a Matric.
• A university degree/Diploma in marketing or business studies is preferred but not a prerequisite
• Valid driver’s license with own reliable transport
• Clear Credit and Criminal History
• Excellent Presentation, Planning, and organizational skills.
• Sales training – solution selling, sales skills training

Work experience & skills
Essential experience
• A minimum of 1 year of related experience or training in direct sales in the Telecoms/Connectivity/IT/Office Automation sector; or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience.

Personal qualities & behavioral traits
• Sales Skills - Cold Calling, Relationship farming, securing appointments with key stakeholders, understanding business pains, and putting the correct solution together to solve those pains. Signing orders and asking clients for their business.
• Managing work- Managing ones’ time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently.
• Building Customer Loyalty- Effectively meeting customer needs, building productive customer relationships, taking responsibility for customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Salary Negotiable based on current plus commission.
