Experience and Requirements:
3 years’ experience in Ventilation control, operations and management systems
2 Year’s Supervisory experience
Knowledge and Skills:
Assist in the design and implementation of long term ventilation and occupational hygiene plans and systems. Assist in the design and implementation of total effective long term ventilation plans and systems.
Review and ensure appropriate working conditions at the mine / operational areas.
Establish and operate a system to understand and mitigate occupational hygiene and ergonomic hazards (according to MHSA requirements).
Identify recurring problems and derive creative solutions involving team members or using own vocational knowledge and experience
Anticipate and identify hazardous conditions and practices
Analyze, monitor, evaluate, report and implement remedial conditions and practices
Assist in implementation of precautionary measures are taken to prevent or suppress explosions and that adequate measures are in place to prevent, detect and combat the start and spread of mine fires.
Obtain, check and refine information. Collate and submit reports. Run data exception reports and take corrective action. Conduct document control spot-checks.
Resolve problems as they are encountered to ensure achievement against plan.
