We are looking for a dynamic, creative person to join the Cape Town office in the role of Office Administrator. This will suit someone with good organizational skills, fresh ideas and an ambassador of South Africa. Previous office management and project management exposure is advantageous.

Job Description:

To support the office manager with office administration of the Cape Town office (small office of 14 people)

• Manage office purchases, refreshments and petty cash 

• Manage office calendar – leave, travel, training, events

• Liaison with service providers as required (repairs, cleaners etc)

• Look after guests from other offices, arranging accommodation and activities

• Arrange social functions for staff

• Manage COVID 19 protocol in office, including purchase of necessary supplies, Staff office rotation schedules

• Manage IT equipment, working with IT in Cape Town, USA and Netherlands

• Daily staff location updates

• Assist with recruitment

• Onboarding new starters

• Provide HR support for external Payroll service provided - Collect leave forms from staff

• Manage office setup, desks, laptops

• Ahdoc tasks and projects as needed by the business

• Be primary contact of the Cape Town office with other office on HR and office administration matters

• Collect information from the Cape Town staff for HO in USA (eg. newsletter content)

• Support the Marketing Director with purchases, printing, adhoc tasks

• Be an ambassador for the Cape Town office


• Grade 12, tertiary education

• Diploma /certificate in office administration or project management

• Work experience of 4 years in similar role

• Accounting or tax firm exposure (Advantageous)

• Work experience in an accounting firm (Advantageous)

• Computer skills: Excel, word, outlook

• Client-facing personality (polite, respectful, holds conversation well)

• Ability to work with people of different cultures

• Good communication skills, written and telephonic

• Solid work ethic and ability to self-manage

• Attention to detail
