Our client, a multinational agricultural group, requires an Oil Production Manager to take responsibility of the various food based production processes at the oil plant, including product development, quality and operational systems. The position is based in KwaZulu Natal.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
• Production planning
• Manage and improve process efficiency
• Manage quality to conform to client requirements
• Oversee maintenance of machinery and equipment Allocate human resources
• Performance management, Manage staff discipline
• Review production job cards
• Adhere to safe manufacturing procedures
• Adhere to food safety procedures
• Report to upper management
• Setting up budgets and financial control
• Process and people management
• Manage customer relationships
• Production scheduling and marketing communication

REQUIREMENTS
• 3-year degree or national diploma in biochemistry or food science
• 3 years' experience, preferably in plant oil production, alternatively, 3 years in other food production
• Basic biochemistry background
• Food safety (HACCP or BRC)
• Health and safety knowledge and experience
• Basic knowledge of BOM costing.
• Basic factory and machinery maintenance
• Intermediate computer literacy (Excel, Word and Outlook)
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• The analytical skills that will allow for systematically problem solving
• High level of integrity
• Able to work independently
• English proficiency, Zulu advantageous
