Global teaching centre is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of the teaching schedules for their online teaching team. With over 25 000 hours of online teaching services provided monthly by approximately 250 teachers, with an expected growth of 200 additional freelance teachers in 2021, a candidate with exceptional organisational skills and the ability to multi-task is required.

Minimum requirements
Exceptional attention to detail
Proven competence in Operations Management
Excellent people management skills
Native or near-native level of fluency in English
Must have a minimum of advanced Excel, experience in PowerBI for reporting purposes and Salesforce desired

Key Responsibilities for Operations Manager:

Schedule Management
Weekly assignment of classes and hours of work for both in-centre and freelance teachers
Communicate and Coordinate with the Operations Teams in Switzerland and Shanghai
Work closely with the Academic teams to prioritize special projects and Academic initiatives
Analyze KPI results and schedule date to communicate forecast and needs to the internal Recruitment teams
Be accountable for center wide operational KPI’s and targets

Schedule Support
Manage and execute leave applications with the Teacher Operations team
Manage shift changes with the Teacher Operations and Center Management teams
Manage ad hoc schedule changes (illness, emergencies, international support, special teams, etc.)

Support Special Projects
Work with international centers and manage the local team to provide schedule support
Manage special projects and training needs in conjunction with the Academic and Teacher Ops team
Manage the impact of ASOT projects and training on the local schedule
Work together with an academic support team to ensure adequate support and remediation plans for teachers

Teacher satisfaction and retention
Facilitate Employee Wellness survey, review data and adjust working conditions based on the response
Track teacher retention and attrition data
Grow teacher satisfaction and retention
