Operations & Investment Compliance

An independent financial services business, backed by one of the largest Financial Service Providers in South Africa, whose core product is advice and investment management is looking for an Operations and Investment Compliance officer.

The Operations & Investment Compliance role is required to offer technical support services to the Private Client Services Team. This person is the key liaison on behalf of the Portfolio Managers for all middle office initiatives & operations. Ultimately this person would be responsible for ensuring that adherence to the client mandate is tracked & delivered.

We are looking for a candidate who:
- Has a degree with financial bias
- Has supplementary education and courses in compliance or investment / wealth / portfolio / asset management
- 2 Years similar experience in Investment, Private Client or Private Wealth Management environment
- Has excellent understanding of FAIS and FICA legislation
- Has excellent understanding of Share Portfolio management or Stock Broking, Portfolio Transfers, Dividend Receipt or Payouts, Client statements and distribution
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) essential
- Any share portfolio or stock broking system would be an advantage
