OPERATIONS MANAGER
A market leading company in Innovative Food Packaging is currently seeking a strategic and innovative Operations Manager for our International division with a good understanding of setting quality framework and practice.
Requirements:
• Min of 5yrs experience in food packaging and food industry
• Min of 10yrs financial / accounting experience
• Min of 10yrs logistics / supply chain management experience
• Computer literate with excellent excel skills
• Excellent communication skills, written and spoken including French speaking would be an advantage
• Clear Criminal record
• Available for international travel as well as monthly local travel within SA .

The candidate will be responsible for P&L, SLA’s, KPI’s, training and development and will work collaboratively with the General Manager and Directors to deliver operational excellence within the expanding international division.
Responsibilities include:
• Be responsible for the financial aspects of the international divisions
• Work with the management team to plan and implement continuous improvement plans
• Ensure return on revenue through specific and effective planning
• Lead, direct, mentor, coach and upskill the teams
• Meet and agree KPI’s and SLA’s
• Ensure any contractual issues, pricing and scope adjustments are dealt with effectively
• Support with problem solving, find solutions and ways of working more efficiently
• Timely preparation of rates and quotes for customers and overseas agents
• Set up reporting and monitor key accounts activity / shipments on a daily basis and liase with both overseas offices and our own.
• Co-ordinate the routing of import and export bookings with airline and ocean carriers
• Work with members across the organisation to understand needs, identify gaps / area of opportunity and propose changes to existing systems, policies and process framework
• Prepare all necessary documentation for international payments including monitoring forex rates and trends.
• Track and trace shipments, researching and resolving any issues regarding billing or shipping discrepancies, communicate timely correspondence back to both customer and vendors

You will be an Operations Manager with demonstrable experience leading a cross-functional team, managing warehouse functions and leading continuous improvement projects within a fast-paced food packaging / innovation environment.
