Parts Sales Rep - Edenvale
Direct Report: Parts Team Leader
CTC: R12000 - R15000 (dependent on experience and qualifications) plus commission

Client: Automobile Manufacturer
Main purpose of the job: Performs a variety of customer service, stock, sales and delivery of parts and accessories that contribute to the efficient, safe, and profitable operation of the dealerships parts department. Ongoing responsibility for assisting with the counterparts sales and customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Sells products and/or services to meet the customer's needs.
• Maintain customer goodwill by greeting and acknowledge all customers he/she comes in contact with.
• Assist in keeping parts department clean and orderly.
• Record all sales and/or customer transactions that occur.
• Provide service technicians with parts as required.
• Maintains the retail sale floor and displays to meet or exceed the dealerships standards and customer satisfaction.
• Controls showroom inventory to ensure maximum sales and customer satisfaction.
• Performs routine housekeeping tasks that maintain and enhances the cleanliness of products and the retail sales area.
• When working the parts counter, follows prescribed cash, credit, and check processing procedures of the dealership.
• Processes returned merchandise as required at a point of sale.
• Attends training as prescribed by management to maintain proficiency in his/her job description.
• Uses dealership equipment and resources safely and proficiently.
• Able to meet deadlines.
• Dispatching Stock.
• Hard work and Multi-Task.
• Do quotations to Panel Beaters and counter customers, and follow quotation through until receiving an order.
• Make sure that there are no returns from parts that are incorrectly supplied
• Regularly update customers on backorder items.

Skills:

• To be able to pay special attention to detail.
• To be responsible for the safekeeping of company money, vehicles, and property.
• To carry out monthly stock takes according to the Department processes.
• To be responsible for completion and prompt submission of all related paperwork and the provision of other information as requested.
• To develop productive working relationships with colleagues.
• To be able to demonstrate good negotiation skills with customers
• To communicate effectively with colleagues, managers, other warehouse staff and client's SA staff.
• To brief and assist couriers if required.
• To be able to deal effectively and efficiently with queries and correspondence.
• To be aware of and to follow all safety guidelines.
• To ensure accuracy in all paperwork and delivery quantities.
• To assist in other duties as reasonably requested by the Parts Team Leader.

Knowledge and experience
2-3 years’ experience in a similar role

Education:
Equivalent qualification
