ROLE:
Payroll Clerk | Bookkeeper and General Administrator
The company is a special effects company with a 1000m workshop that includes metal work, carpentry, sculpting, composites, etc. We do Fabrication of props and mechanisms, we also send crew on set to do practical effects like rain, wind, snow etc. The business is seasonal, so we are very busy Oct to May, with very little happening in the winter months. This is due to sunlight hours in the southern Hemisphere.
We have an open plan office with desks for Managing Director, Heinrich (our scheduling/recourses manager) and the admin clerk.
HOURS:
5 days a week
5 hours a day – start time to be discussed.
DUTIES:
- Process timesheets and payroll – weekly
- Process timesheets for salary crew and monthly payroll
- Process PAYE payments provided by accountants
- Act as liaison between company and accountants
- Manage petty cash
- Vehicle license and service schedule and renewals
- Shareholders Expenses
- Process supplier payments
- Filing
- Manage crews leave and lieu days
- Support Resource manager and MD in general
- VAT payment and allocation
- Bank allocations
- Job costing allocations
- Basic HR administration
- Other Adhoc projects
RATE:
R150 per hour
