Human Resources Payroll Officer – HAMMARSDALE Durban
Salary: Market Related

Purpose of Position:

Complement Recruitment are recruiting for a Human Resources & Payroll Officer for a permanent position in Hammarsdale, Durban Kwazulu Natal. Candidates must be able to star ASAP, as this is an urgent position, and be based in Hammersdale or surrounding areas. Duties include solid end to end Payroll (Sage VIP Premier) experience with the full payroll function as well as some of the entry-level HR generalist duties

Responsible for the full day-to-day functioning of payroll and the HR function. Implementation of strategic and short-term HR plans through rendering an efficient human resources service to the organization as a whole.

Minimum Requirements:

• NQF Level 5 Degree in Human Resources Management
• Trained on SARS e-filing and on Payroll Management
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Payroll/HR Department, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Candidates must be able to start immediately (week of 22-26 August 2022) and be based in Hammarsdale
• Internal Contacts: Managers, Supervisors and Employees
• Own transport preferred
• SAGE VIP Premier (reports, deductions, 3rd party payments, wage and salary staff, union payments, SARS, EMP 201 & 501, UIF submissions etc).

Duties:

• Processing payroll on VIP Payroll – Premier
• Print the various important reports from VIP Payroll
• Processing payroll manually, if/when required
• Completion and submission of WCC, PAYE, UIF, Income Tax, etc. Registrations
• Bargaining Council returns and submissions
• Maintaining employee details with UIF
• Completion and submission of WCC returns
• Completion and submission of UIF returns
• Monthly submission of PAYE returns
• Working knowledge of ETI & how to calculate this manually
• Criteria for an employee to qualify for ETI, how to set it up on VIP Payroll & what reports to print for the monthly EMP201 & Bi-Annual EMP501
• PAYE Reconciliation and issuing of IRP5’S on Easy file
• Application for Tax Directives
• Liaising with SARS, UIF, WCC, Bargaining Councils, VIP Payroll
• Recruitment & selection
• HR administration
• HR Induction & Info sessions with employees
• Assist employees with HR related queries
• Strong disciplinary code and IR experience
• Advise management on disciplinary processes and procedures
• Advise on performance management matters
• Recruitment reporting
• Write / compile job descriptions / profiles
• Draw up LOAs and contracts
• Assist with training and development
• Ensuring compliance with Policies and Procedures
