PICKING SUPERVISOR – PRODUCE DEVELOPMENT FACTORY

Pick Me Recruitment is looking for a Picking Supervisor for an established produce development factory in Diep River.

The perfect individual is someone with exceptional organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail, fit and physically strong, experienced in working in an environment producing large scale food production or similar, school graduate / relevant tertiary education, must have understanding of HACCP, and food safety standards, have excellent communication skills, is resourceful, creative, flexible.

Key role:

To supervise the Picking Department’s daily operations, managing 3 employees. The key role is to ensure all production areas receive their accurate allocated picked items / ingredients per the planned production work sheets, this position works closely with the planning, production and warehouse teams.

Key Accountabilities:

• Ensuring all picked items are cross checked with work order documents
• Monthly stocktaking
• Maintain good relations & clear timeous communication with all departments such as production, planning & warehouse
• Supervision of picking floor staff
• Ensuring efficient flow of goods through the department
• Departmental housekeeping, adhere to all food, health and safety regulations
• Timeous reporting of shortages or irregularities
Position Requirements:
• A relevant tertiary education (culinary arts, food tech, or other)
• Senior Certificate
• Previous experience working in a environment producing large scale food production or similar
• Excellent communication, organisational and management skills
• Strong inventory control and reporting
• Must be able to work on weekends as required
• Fully vaccinated
