Overriding objective is always to provide excellent customer service. Client delivery and meeting timelines is of most importance. The position of Piping Supervisor reports to the Contracts Manager. Overall duties include – Team Leader of Site Piping Team and delivery of all piping and welding duties on all projects as well as ensuring optimum site effectiveness through communication with all company teams and contractors.

Responsibilities:
• Fabrication duties and responsibilities
• Using a variety of hand tools, grinders and cutting equipment to ensure timely completion of all site works.
• Install piping, weld mild steel and stainless steel piping.
• Complete all layout work for all piping on site.
• Professional who fabricates and assembles pipe products to required customizations by following blueprints or product specification instructions.
• Operating overhead cranes and hoists
• Work alongside the piping team for all projects and supervise the execution of mechanical works, verifying that works are correctly carried out in accordance with project documentation and in the planned timeframe.
• Ensure safe work practices and environmental protection, ensuring that safety standards are in place and maintained.
• Ensure the fulfilment of the project quality and contractual requirements.
• Verify and confirm the availability of drawings and materials, to plan the efficient execution of the works performed.
• Work alongside the team to ensure the correct interpretation of the drawings and provide support in the solution of technical problems.
• Work alongside the team as well as supervise the execution of mechanical works, checking that machineries/tools are properly used and maintained.
• Ensure excellence and timely completion of all piping installations.
• Prepare and coordinate detailed plans for the assigned activities.
• Coordinate team and technical resources assigned, indicating any needs or surplus.
• Verify that works are correctly carried out in accordance with the project specifications, highlighting any engineering problems encountered in the field.
• Measure the progress of the works carried out.
• Perform Site walkthroughs and analysis.
• Coordinate the assigned team, managing the interfaces with engineering, construction and commissioning teams in order to ensure efficiency.

Requirements:
• Matric or Technical equivalent
• Relevant Trade Test / Technical qualification
• Minimum of 5 years’ site experience in piping management
• Ability to effectively interpret mechanical drawings
• Perform site based internal checks according to the Quality Management System
• Exceptional communication & teamwork skills
• 3 years’ experience on how to effectively lead a team
• Ability to give daily feedback to relevant persons
• Clear criminal record
