JOB CONTEXT:
The Planning & Program Analyst provides assistance to all the departments through planning and programs activities. This includes budgets, accountability, performance indices, vendor management, cost and risk controls, to mention a few.
Basic Job Requirements & Accountabilities:
Description
Manages the day to day activities of the program, which involves creating and managing program content and initiatives.
Participates in long- and short-term program development and planning of NITI
Monitors program activities to ensure quality and accuracy of NITI work outcomes vis-à-vis contractual and grant commitments. Monitors the program activities on a regular basis and conducts an annual evaluation according to the program evaluation framework
Manages ongoing supplier management, monitoring supplier performance against contractual service level agreements and key performance indicators. Interprets provisions of the contract.
Identifies and evaluates the risks associated with program activities and take appropriate action to control the risks
Develops and effectively manages program timelines to ensure timely completion of program deliverables
Works in maintaining the flow of business information to assist Head of Departments in keeping operations, manpower, and financial budgets within established limits and standards
Identifies partnership and funding opportunities and promote relationship-building among NITI and other organizations, agencies, and/or individuals.
Coordinates the preparation of routine or special reports for department management review and approval.
Develops written and online tools for programmatic use including survey and evaluation instruments
Serves as programmatic liaison to external partners, including representing NITI at national, International regional and local meetings.
Conducts studies relating to productivity and effective utilization of funds and resources or other areas of concern.
Develops cost control measures to meet cost/schedule/program objectives.
Provides for the development and maintenance of statistical reports, visual presentations and others for management purposes.
Tracks relevant activities in the field of vocational training and provides information to NITI, its partners, and communities.
Performs other related duties as required by the Head of the Department/ Executive Director

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Management Information System, Financial Management or equivalent
A minimum of 5-6 years of relevant experience in program management in a non-profit sector
Experience in program planning, implementation and evaluation
Track record of grants and program management
Strong quantitative analysis skills with demonstrated experience in survey data analysis, plan modelling and implementation, and business case development and evaluation
