This is a broad investment role focused on research and recommendations, responsible for formulating, revising and implementing investment strategies via collective investment schemes in a multi-manager approach. The incumbent is individually accountable for investment outcomes leveraging research done by other teams.

• Designs and manages investment strategies customised for financial advisors in the Discretionary Fund Management (DFM) environment.
• Performs investment research with a focus on indexation strategies and asset allocation.
• Stays informed on competitor offerings and trends in asset management.
• Monitors developments in security markets and macroeconomics.
• Liaises with tax attorneys or accountants to determine legal consequences of investment decisions.
• Assists with report backs and provides performance feedback to financial advisors.
• Responsible for directing and managing a small operations team.
• Analyses the market and looks for opportunities to develop new products and features in existing products to suit specific target markets.
• Delivers and manages multiple projects as well as daily operational issues.
• Product design: Maintains close working relationship with channels and marketing teams.
• Balances complex business trade-offs in product design and makes appropriate decisions.
• Generic responsibility in area for performance management, coaching and resource optimisation.
• Works with multiple departments to deliver a new product to market.

• BCom / CIPM / CFP / CFA (preferential)
• 8+ years investment experience
• RE Exams l1.9o
