PROCUREMENT CLERK with Manufacturing / or Appliance Industry – West Rand, JHB

Manufacturing company, looking for a Procurement Clerk with 3 to 4 years experience in Manufacturing / or Appliance Industry, for:
• Identifying purchasing needs, placing orders with the suppliers and confirming these with the supplier.
• Overseeing in the progress of the delivery / shipment.
• Evaluating quotations offered to make sure the best prices are negotiated / offered.
• Aiding with various purchasing procedures, such as record-keeping and researching of new products.
• IT literate with knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, Syspro/SAP

Duties:
• Includes expediting orders, placing new orders, sourcing for new suppliers, arranging shipments, payment, following purchasing procedures, building relationships with the supplier, price negotiating, tracking orders, by using P to P cycle, complying to statutory regulations
• Liaise with - WH, Operations, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Planning and Logistics/Internal & External Suppliers

Experience & Skills Required:
• Matric with strong Math’s skills
• 3-4 years’ experience – Manufacturing industry (preferably, from an industry which deal with ELECTRICAL PARTS etc. as well as having experience in the APPLIANCE game)
• Computer literate – MS Office, Syspro/ SAP

• Dynamic, able to anticipate and organize, while being able to manage emergencies
• Planning & Organizing. Prioritizes day-to-day workload. Meets proposed deadlines

• Communication skills/ Reading comprehension/ Listening skills
• Time management
• Strong Numeracy, Calculation skills.
• Basic Quality concepts – Continuous improvement/ Problem Solving/ Root Cause Analysis/ Supplier Quality

Salary: R17K CTC to 20k CTC pm – negotiable with the experience
