Responsibilities:
Assist in commodity strategy formulation and responsible for the execution of the strategy
Drive the tender initiation process: liaise with business departments to identify the requirement, compile tender documentation, issue and receive tenders; facilitate the tender adjudication process: review, validate and evaluate offers, present tender findings to the bid evaluation committee and finalise the tender adjudication process; administer the process of awarding tenders: distribute and communicate tender results to business partners, issue letters of acceptance or regret, issue letters of intent and assist in implementing Master Supply Agreements and Service Level Agreements
Assist in collecting and evaluating commodity key economic indicators in order to formulate a realistic annual Packaging Budget and better than annual performs
Improve service levels to internal customers - Marketing, Product Innovation & Technology, Production, Planning, and Distribution
Manage Supplier performance
Communicate and maintain professional relationships
Represent Procurement in Project - New Product Development checklist maintained for all projects:
-Projects updated in Microsoft One Note
-New codes
-Obtain quotes, negotiate prices and updating price-lists
-Confirm standard costs to master files administrator timely
-Assist with vendor applications
-Manage packaging phase-outs and write-offs

Requirements:
National Diploma in (Procurement/Business Management/Logistics/Supply Chain) or CIPS qualification
Solid experience in a Procurement or Supply management environment
Solid understanding of technical and operational requirements of a business
Solid knowledge of Contract Management with specific reference to Strategic Sourcing or Procurement and BBBEE practices is preferable
Basic knowledge of Commodities, Capital Equipment Procurement, and Supply Chain Management function will be advantages
Advanced Excel skills (Non-Negotiable) and intermediate MS Word, Access and PowerPoint skills
ERP System: AS400 / LX experience (Advantageous)
