Our client is looking to employ an experienced candidate to manage the procurement of equipment purchases of items in Engineering design phase 1 in our world-class solar PV systems. These include Solar PV modules, inverters, generators, storage equipment and other items.

RESPONSIBILITIES

A key player in supplier and subcontractor vetting procedures alongside the COO. This would need to be done for any country in Africa which requires an installed system. Vet suppliers and products that have been requested for use by the Engineering Department.
Keep pricelists updated for the Engineering Department to use for detailed project costing.
Drive & develop project Bill of Quantities (BOQ) in conjunction with the Engineering Department.
Handover project procurement list (BOQ) to Project Management Dept.
Project budget review and signatory on behalf of the Engineering Department.
Monitors business trends and product availability to pay the best price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times.
Identifies and researches potential new suppliers.
Develops and implements strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing products and monitoring stock levels.
Company stock & inventory management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Degree in a related field
Must have procurement experience in the renewable energy space
