STELLENBOSCH (Remote role)

ISP Leader is recruiting for a well experienced PRODUCT MANAGER

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
• The Product Manager develops products by identifying potential products, conducting market research, generating product requirements, determining specifications, implementation timetables, pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction, and operational readiness.
Key Responsibility Areas:
• Determining customers’ needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.
• Recommending the nature and scope of present and future products lines by reviewing products specifications and requirements, appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.
• Assesses market competition by comparing the company’s product to competitors’ products.
• Providing source data of product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives.
• Bringing new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs, preparing return-on-investment analyses, and establishing time schedules with systems development and networks teams.
• Introducing new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, marketing, and operations.
• Determining product pricing by utilizing market research data, reviewing production and sales costs, anticipating volume, costing special and customized orders.
• Completing operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.
• Drafting products guides.
• Mapping process flows and coordinating the training of employees.
• Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
• Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills: -
• At least 2-3 years relevant experience in the Telecoms sector.
• At least 2-3 years’ experience in product management and product development.
• Proficiency in Telecoms products, contracts, and knowledge of the relevant industry legislation and relevant industry agreements.
• Sound numerical skills and computer literacy is essential especially in the use of MS Excel and MS Word.
• Skills or experience in data management and extraction skills would be an advantage.
