Production Manager - Modderfontein
R20 000 – R25 000 per month CTC

Well established perishables manufacturing and distribution company based in Modderfontein is currently sourcing a Production Manager with experience in perishable manufacturing.

Requirements
MS Office computer skills (Mostly Excel)
Excellent communication skills
Develop good working relationships with staff
Work well with different departments and customers.
Results and deadline driven
Relevant Business Qualification but not essential
5 years production experience within a manufacturing or wholesale environment is highly advantageous.

Duties:
Oversee the day to day manufacturing / packing processes within our company.
Ensuring that production runs smoothly with minimal problems and downtime.
Ensuring that products are manufactured to the specified quality standard and that staff adhere to safety / food safety related regulations and policies.
Control production costs and identify and rectify wastage
Create and implement production changes on an operative level.
Notifies senior management of any issues and problems in a timely manner.
Schedules and manages production in a cost-efficient manner.
Oversee the maintenance of equipment and workforce and allocates appropriate resources to the various divisions.
Provides guidance and makes decisions with regards to dispatch and deliveries.
Manages workflow in the dispatch area.
Manage all teams within the department in terms of contract, leave, pay.
Supervises, develops and coaches workforce.
Establishes and maintains good morale, motivation and recognition of accomplishments in all employees.
Handle logistics, warehousing and stock of raw materials.
Provides guidance and makes decisions with regards to dispatch and deliveries.
