Job Description:

The person will be part of a team of managers, each responsible for a division / section within the larger production unit.  

The suitable candidate must have sound experience within a food processing environment as well as the ability to manage production processes and personnel.

Qualifications

·An appropriate Tertiary qualification in a Food and / or Science field (i.e. (BSc, MSc), Enginering (B.Eng), etc.)

·The ability to manage daily production processes efficiently and effectively

·Excellent planning, organising and management skills

·The ability to handle all aspects of staff i.e. performance management, attendance, work schedules.

·General management of Food Safety and Health Systems. Ensure that proposed standards are consistently applied.

·Excellent communication and negotiation skills

·The ability to function effectively within a management team

·Computer skills e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, X3, Pastel, etc.

·Proactive approach in the performance of duties and planning

·Accuracy, Cost awareness within the workplace

Seasonal irregular and long hours are part of the job, you should be willing to go the “extra “mile”.
