Full production and responsibility of the products from design stage to finished product which includes establishing efficient and effective processes for each stage of the manufacturing life cycle
Full fabric order process, briefing suppliers, quoting, following up on quotes and fabric mills
Reconciliation and processing of invoices against goods received versus issues to production orders cut
Liaise with machinists, this includes managing, training and recruitment of machinists according in line with factory needs
Quality control and quality management. Ensure outputs meet the standards established i.e. high-quality clothing produced in an efficient, cost effective and in a timely manner.
Assessing and compiling with designs and data sheets
Understand the client briefs to create customised fabric designs for clients
Pattern making experience
CMT skills i.e. the full sewing process, understanding and knowledge
Assist with inspections and measurements of products
Review designs for errors
Design patterns and styles to ensure a strong range is build and developed from inception
Daily monitoring and collection of data which includes analysis, advisory and implementing necessary interventions
Preferred Skills
5+ years in a production manager role
Detailed knowledge of apparel quality control, apparel production and testing.
Understand sewing construction, fabric shrinkage, wash and garment dye processes.
Previous work experience preferred within the manufacturing/production environment
Approximately 5 to 7 years
Previous fabric experiences an advantage
Strong computer literacy skills
Organized, systematic and high attention to detail
Experience in textile and fashion design preferable
The successful individual would need to carry our all processes within a prescribed environment
Good communicator
Good team player
Experience in middle/Senior management
