We currently have the above vacancy and wish to invite suitably qualified applicants to submit their details for our consideration. This position will be based in Cape Town, North. The ideal candidate must have experience with Production Coordination/ Planner / Supervisor experience for a large scale operation ( Manufacturing / Production environment). This position will only consider candidates with UHT experience.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Must have Matric or equivalent
• National Certificate: Manufacturing Management NQF 5 or equivalent.
• Must have at least five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience within a similar role in leading a shift of +- 40 employees in a manufacturing facility (+- 25 permanent staff and approximately 10-15 outsourced employees).
• Extensive knowledge & experience in a UHT manufacturing facility and knowledge of Tetrapak processing and packaging lines is crucial.
• Demonstrated industrial relations experience in initiating disciplinary enquiries and exposure to CCMA proceedings such as Conciliation, Con-Arb etc.
• Experience in doing daily time and attendance and exposure to the KRONOS system would be advantageous.
RESPONSIBILITIES - JOB DESCRIPTION:
• To ensure that all subordinates are suitably lead and monitored
• Ensure the production teams are working effectively and achieving required Production, Quality and Food Safety standards.
• Ensure that the personnel in your control follow Work Instructions, Procedures and Test Methods to produce
• UHT products that are Safe for Human Consumption
• Accurate record keeping of how the production parameters are maintained in the factory and ensuring the required Product Quality levels are maintained and that the products are fit for human consumption (Food Safety).
• No unauthorized access & no theft of company property or products.
• Conduct regular Housekeeping inspections during each shift and ensure that all areas are kept neat, clean and tidy by the person responsible
• Liaise with the Quality Controllers/Lab Technicians on shift on all Product Quality issues/deviations
