QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Matric
• A Diploma in General, Community and Midwifery Nursing
• A Diploma\ Degree in General, Community and Midwifery Nursing
• 2 years as a Registered Nurse in NGO/Community Clinic
• Or a Hospital Environment
• 3 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse
• Community Nursing Health setting or Hospital Setting

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Patient Care
? Assess, examine and diagnose patient’s clinical conditions and triage.
? Do relevant pre-vaccination health check and observations / vital signs.
? Interpret health check results, follow up on inaccuracies
? Assist with process and implementation of the Covid-19 vaccination program
? Design and implement nursing care plans, to facilitate non pharmaceutical Covid-19 prevention measures, monitor adherence to Covid-19 prevention protocols.
Staff Development
? Supervise and coordinate activities of all sub-ordinates.
? Participate in COVID-19 site in-service training
Administration Duties
? Organise COVID-19 vaccination sessions in facility and outreach settings.
? Implement safe COVID-19 administration and waste disposal.
? Implement COVID-19 infection and control measures during vaccination to protect health workers, vaccine recipients and community.
? Implement measures for effective cold chain management.
Research
? Keep abreast with present developments in the field.
? To participate in research projects relevant to the specific field.
? Generate relevant reports and do follow ups on inaccuracies.
