Requirements
The Project Planner will be responsible for the following deliverables / activities on multiple projects:
Assist the respective Project Managers to compile a roadmap for each project;
Assist the respective Project Managers to compile project schedules (level 3 or 4), with feasibility phase being at level 2;
Attend project progress meetings and execute own next steps from meeting;
Assist Project Managers with cost estimate reviews from a time phased cash flow point of view;
Ensure planning requirements are included in all Request for Quotation (RFQ) documentation;
Attend RFQ bid clarification meetings with a focus on submitted schedules and execute own next steps from meeting;
Attend feasibility study kick-off meeting with appointed consultants and execute own next steps from meeting;
Review Consultants accepted schedules (level 4 or 5);
Integrate Consultants accepted schedules (level 3 or 4) into master project schedule;
Assist with schedule progress updating & forecasting;
Assist with schedule reviews;
Perform schedule documentation revision management;
Review & incorporate schedule delays into the project schedules, assess Potential Variation to Plan (PVP) submissions, process Variation to Plan (VP), re-baseline of the schedule as necessary;
Attend project risk review sessions with Consultants and execute own next steps from meeting;
Support project management team (PMT) through close out process of projects; and
Assist with the document management of one specific project.


Job Requirements:

Qualification:

National Diploma/NTC6
Primavera P6 certificate
MSP certificate
Experience:
10 years of mining project scheduler experience within an EPCM environment
Primavera & MS Projects Skills
Time phased cash flow / cost & schedule integration
Document management / revision control
Schedule risk range analysis

Person Requirements:

Core Competencies:
Very good understanding of engineering and construction disciplines, sequences and interfaces within the mining sector
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Mining operational experience will be beneficial, ideally in coal
Ability to work on own
Ability to communicate across all levels within an organisation
Good presentation skills
High level scenario planning skills
